Description

Mixed used heritage village design part of Design 4 from collage of architecture at KSU. It includes recreational zone, cultural zone, residential zone and service zone. The project is necessary to preserve the culture of Riyadh and Saudi Arabia.

Project overview

The use of water as an essential element within the village in an abstract sense to enhance the understanding of the link between the history of the site of Wadi Hanifa and the settlement of the Hanifa tribe around the valley and the historical and cultural value of the valley with the establishment of the first Saudi state around it in the Diriyah region. Also, water adds spatial value and aesthetic meaning to the urban design, as the population centers Be near and around water.
