Description
Research Center design part of Design 7 from collage of architecture at KSU .This design project «Air pollution Research Center, Riyadh», proposes a center for research and training to showcase environment protection efforts and public awareness of city air pollution and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).
Project overview
Since the project is an air pollution laboratory, the design concept was inspired by sustainability, and applied through the courtyard and the prevailing winds, as the courtyard is one of the important elements in Saudi Najdi architecture.
• Sustainability themes tell an important story, starting with the environment. When the environment improves, society’s productivity improves, and thus the economy improves for the project itself, the state, and the built environment.

The final outcome includes an integrated architectural design supported by structural, mechanical, and electrical systems that ensure safety, efficiency, and proper environmental performance for laboratories and public areas.
